This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My project calls for the use of the DSM 5T when working with some of my students who have mental health concerns. Many times, as counselors we find many students who are taking medication, and the school is unsure of the side effects of that medication.
It is my hope to have the DSM 5 on hand along with the manual and reference resources that will list the side effects of the medication, do if we need to contact Emergency Services, we will have all information ready when they arrive.
The blood pressure monitors will allow me to give accurate readings to the paramedics when they arrive. Having this on hand will allow me to be a more well-informed, and effective counselor.
