Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students spend so much of their time in front of a screen. Technology is great, but I want to help students take technology to a whole new level!
I teach 24 wonderful first grade students at a Title 1 school in the California Bay Area.
Most of my students and learning English as a second language and they are always excited to learn more.
Our school is filled with enthusiastic teachers who are doing everything possible to help our students succeed. We are always trying to think out of the box to help our students learn more.
My Project
I am requesting 2 Osmo Gaming Systems. The Osmo works with the iPads that I already have in my classroom. It hooks to the iPad and uses a reflector to allow students to work on the table with the tools provided. This gets the students away from relying totally on the screen and more involved with their hands. It's hard to explain, but the possibilities are endless! My students will be able to improve their academics, spatial skills, and so much more!
My students will learn so much with the Osmo System.
They will be given the opportunity to think outside of the box to improve their skills. Thank you so much for considering my proposal and for caring about my students!
