We love to read, write and think. We are a classroom of diverse learners, learning and growing right outside of Pittsburgh. We learn using a workshop based approach in reading, writing and mathematics. This means we have a short mini lesson and then we move into independent or partner work. We work in small, student driven groups along with small, teacher guided groups.
We are a community of learners who value thinking and problem solving, guided by our own independence and individualities.
My Project
Young learners like to move! Flexible seating allows students the ability to move while learning. Currently, about half of our seating options include options that support students in being able to move. We need more flexible seating choices so all of my students can benefit.
Your donation will provide more seating options and allow all of my students choice and movement while promoting attention, focus and collaboration.
If funded, bounce balls, floor cushions, and wiggle bands will support my young students in learning. Cubby storage options will allow us to get rid of the typical student chairs and still have individual student storage options.
