This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students because they are curious, resilient, and full of potential. Every day, they show me new ways to see the world through their eyes—filled with wonder, creativity, and determination. It’s a joy to support their learning and celebrate their growth, no matter how big or small the step.
A jumbo outdoor scale would be a valuable tool for hands-on learning and exploration.
It would help my students develop early math and science skills by allowing them to compare weights, make predictions, and explore cause and effect through play. For many of my special needs students, learning through movement and tangible objects is essential—and this scale provides the perfect blend of sensory engagement, motor skill development, and cognitive growth.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
