This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math is a subject that must be worked out on paper with pencil. Chances must be taken and mistakes are learned from. For the most part, students are at desks and writing in notebooks. In our Geometry class, we often use dry-erase boards. These non-permanent surfaces encourage students to take more risks while working through problems (because mistakes can be easily erased). Still, being at a desk, allows students to easily disengage from their peers and the tasks at hand. That is why we are taking our learning vertical!
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Using these vertical non-permanent surfaces (VNPSs) will transform our passive learning classroom into an active thinking space where students will work collaboratively to increase their thinking.
