This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school is a middle city school with many different economic and cultural backgrounds. My students are asked to provide supplies which might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.

My Project

My 8th grade basketball team has already been by my room several times to bug me. You see, they love basketball so much, they cannot wait for the season to start. It will be here soon enough but I want to make sure we start it off with a bang. As 8th grader's its their time to shine, they are the leaders of their sport. I need them to be the top of their game so they can recruit next years winners.

This team packed full of heart, they just need a few items to help them up their skill.

My girls need more basketballs, a hand pump and a bag to keep them in. They also need dribbling sticks to help them step up their dribbling game. They need court markers so they can learn their position locations. I am also asking for a traction mat so that when they get on the court their feet stick to the ground instead of sliding around.

As a Coach I am in need of a whistle and a stop watch, because my athletes sure do keep me on my toes. Any and every bit of your donation will help my team succeed as athletes and as leaders of their school.
