My classroom is a fun place to be! We sing, we dance, we learn!
I have been teaching Kindergarten for 5 years and I can't imagine doing anything else! My students are so intrigued by the world around them! Having iPads in the classroom will help motivate my students and create lifelong learners.
My students come from all different backgrounds and each one of them is truly unique and special.
My 20-22 students (depending on class size) will walk into my classroom in August each with their own needs and will be very eager and excited to learn. For most students, I am their very first teacher, cheerleader and counselor. So, I have a very important role. It is my responsibility to help them develop a true love for learning!
My Project
My students need four iPads for the new school year. My dream classroom has a group of learners huddled together over iPads working on their letter and number formation, a pair of students retelling a story together using sock puppets and a small group of at risk students matching rhyming words for the very first time!
iPads will really make learning more fun! I will use these to meet the needs of ALL of my students. iPads are such amazing tools. We will use them to deepen our understanding of concepts we have learned. We will also use them in a small group to help reinforce what I have taught which will allow my students to work at their own level and pace. The iPads will also be a huge hit as one of my Literacy Stations (because what 5 year old doesn't want to get to use an iPad). We will also use them for various lessons with our interactive whiteboard and as an additional resource for intervention and enrichment.
I believe that iPads are really changing the way that students grasp concepts and will provide them with vast opportunities to learn.
Donations to this project for my sweet Kindergartners will allow me to individualize my instruction and will ultimately take learning to a whole new level in my classroom!
