My Project

Prismacolor pencils are an essential tool for my Advanced Placement students as they work to build strong, college-ready portfolios. These high-quality colored pencils offer rich pigmentation, smooth blending, and professional-grade durability, allowing students to create detailed, refined, and expressive artwork.

By providing my students with Prismacolor sets, they will have access to materials that respond well to layering, shading, and intricate detailing—key techniques for AP art portfolios.

Many of my students have only worked with lower-quality materials, which can limit their ability to execute their creative visions at an advanced level. These pencils will enable them to produce more polished and sophisticated pieces, helping them stand out in competitive college admissions and scholarship opportunities.

My primary goal is to ensure my students have access to professional-grade materials that elevate their artistic abilities and confidence. I want to equip them with tools that allow them to fully explore color theory, develop their technical skills, and create portfolio pieces that reflect their personal artistic voice. This project will help prepare them for college-level coursework while also fostering creative problem-solving and perseverance.

My students are passionate, hardworking, and incredibly creative. Many of them come from diverse backgrounds and face financial challenges, yet they remain dedicated to their artistic growth. They see art as more than just a subject—it’s a means of expression, storytelling, and personal discovery. With the right tools, their talent and determination can truly shine, giving them opportunities they might not otherwise have.

By supporting this project, you’re helping aspiring artists bring their visions to life and take the next steps toward their creative futures.
