Students have moved from not reading music to being able to read and write rhythms in a 4/4 time signature. Students take advantage of the easy-erase nature of the boards to revise and refine their compositions. One of their favorite activities was to each write a 4/4 measure and line them up on the ground creating a 'Rhythm Train,' to then play all in a row as a class.\r\n\r\nIn an unexpected turn, students have also used them as stimulation focusing gadgets in the classroom. During instruction, students will write and draw in the remaining spaces of their boards, which has increased their focus and retention of classroom material. Students take pride in the individuality of their boards, signing their names in unique ways.
