My Project
My students are eager and excited to be successful in their learning. In order to do so, we need somewhere to store and charge their Chromebooks. Chromebooks are essential to our learning because they are used for many reasons. Not only are they used for class work, they also utilize their Chromebooks for e-learning days, research, learning practice and state testing. Not having a safe place to charge and store them leads to issues within the classroom. When Chromebooks are not charged it causes delay in classroom instruction, and chargers become lost or broken due to being given out to students to use instead of being able to give them a ready to go device. In addition, our classroom counts on basic classroom essentials everyday to help the students be able to achieve their goals and to be ready to work each day.
Unfortunately many of our students' families are unable to afford classroom supplies for their students due to many reasons and factors.
I want to ensure that my students get the best learning experience possible. Being that I teach a self contained classroom, providing these items and ensuring the security of knowing their devices are in a safe space and able to be used is important. As well as making sure all of their other needs are met. My goal is to be able to provide my students with quality materials that will help enrich their learning experience and to continue to keep them excited about learning. This investment into my classroom and students will have a profound impact on not only their learning but on their everyday lives. This grant will help us provide the tools necessary to make that happen. This would be a great gift and surprise to my students.
