This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

95% of my students are first generation high school graduates, and many lack the basic educational and social necessities needed for competing in the global economy.
In preparing for post secondary education we are encouraging them to take the standardized exams for college entry. One such necessity is the graphing calculator to allow them the materials to maximize their outcome.
My Project
The 4 graphing calculators would be utilized as loaners for students to take the SAT/ACT, integrated Algebra 2 and college entrance exams. Once the registration ticket has been printed I will issue a calculator to a student so that they can take the calculator with them to the location and effectively compete for a chance at a better future.
Providing the calculators to my students will ensure that they are effectively competing for a chance at a seat at the institution of their choice.
Increasing their opportunity to place in college level courses allows for a student to go further in college and eventually contribute more to the society.
