My Students
Hello everyone! My students are returning to school without any sensory play experience due to the pandemic! Students need play time to develop social and communicative skills. My students are kindergarteners who need a sense of play time right in our classroom as they develop independence. These students come from backgrounds where they get the bare minimum BUT they love learning. They come to school and don't have the knowledge to participate in class because they didn't get the chance. They need sensory play during the day or take home one of their choice to share what they learned in school. Help me give my students sensory play time back right in the classroom with these items. These sensory learning items will enhance learning, engagement and boost their social and emotional skills.
My Project
By donating to our project, you are increasing my students sensory skills, increasing their fine-motor skills, learning how to share and communicate as they play, as well as develop their imaginative play.
My students are in a Title 1 school and have never visited a farm, fruit stand or vegetable stand that will develop their sensory.
Due to the pandemic, my students did not have an opportunity to go on any school trips to get that interaction at the farm and so on. They need their social and emotional learning skills back through sensory play. Sensory play enhances the life skills children need to harness early on in order to grow into successful adults.
