Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At the end of each school year I like to end with a classic read aloud of the novel Hatchet. My goal is to teach the students that books can take you on an adventure and to promote the love of reading for enjoyment.

Each year the students are surprised by the suspense in this novel and they can easily relate to the main character.

Unfortunately over the years my books have started to fall apart and all of them are missing pages. I would like to get a new class set of the books to use for this school year and future years.
