Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school only has about 250 students divided between 10 classes. Many of these students stay together from year to year, forming a family-like feel with each other. Our students value their time at school and look to their teachers and friends for the support they may be lacking in other areas of their life.
Very few of our students have access to technology at home, so they are always eager to have an opportunity to do so at school.
My Project
My school, and subsequently my classroom, has been blessed with some iPads. However, I am having a difficult time keeping them organized and charged in an accessible way, which limits the frequency that the students are able to utilize them.
These docking stations and charging cords will allow for all the iPads to be charged at the same time, which will in turn give the students the opportunity to be responsible for their technology.
The fully charged iPads will provide my students with additional ways to practice their math and literacy skills, all while preparing them for the increasing demands of technological expertise.
