My students need these prepared slides so that they can use our classroom microscopes and see real life samples of living organisms for themselves and tie in the content being covered in class.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are remarkable, bright kids who love to learn and be curious. They love challenges and demand a lot of themselves. They are Biology students in middle school. That means that they are taking a high school course in middle school. They have an interest and commitment to their education. They are performing at higher levels than students in their school.
My students are constantly wanting new information and benefit from new challenging curriculum.
They inspire me and push me to become a better teacher.
My Project
My biology students will definitely benefit from looking at these prepared slides through a microscope. I teach them about the differences between animal cells and plants cells, viruses, bacteria, and the five kingdoms. It is impossible for me to get real samples of these things and all I can show them are videos or pictures. These slides will allow them to see real specimens and see the real size of the organisms.
These slides will enhance my biology students' understanding of living things and bring them a real life sample to our class.
My biology students will be able to identify the real samples and apply the content they have learned.
