This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'm a mental health therapist at a High School. Students come to my office when they are having a difficult day or just need a safe space to take a break. I would love to create a meditation corner in my office for students to use when needed. My school is working on a meditation space, but I know that there will be those students who won't feel safe being around other students. I also facilitate therapy groups where student learn coping skills. Student that participate in those groups can also benefits from these items.
