Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are inner-city high school students who often lack basic supplies of personal hygiene products.
I would like to display a sign in my classroom that will read, “Take What You Need.” I plan to have a supply of basic personal hygiene products in baskets that students can take to use if they are in need-no questions asked.
We need products such as tampons, pads, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
I love my students and want to assist them with basic needs by providing them with the resources and daily items they may need while at school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
