This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school I work in is incredibly diverse and I celebrate that fact every day. My students are inquisitive, love to be challenged, and love to have fun while learning in my class. Many of my students are ELL (English Language Learners), speaking a language other than English at home, and many are special education students with varied learning strengths and needs.

My students want to explore the world, using technology, and become productive citizens of tomorrow.

They come to school each day, excited to learn, but many need more help at home and have no one there that can help them.

My Project

Many of my students' parents do not speak English, and many parents are working second and third jobs, so despite their best intentions, they are not able to support my students with homework. Also, no matter how clear my lessons and directions are during school, my students always have more questions once they are home.

Many student questions go unanswered at home - I want to bring the classroom into their homes so their questions can always be answered.

With the donation of the GoPro camera, I can record and upload lessons and directions that my students will have access to anytime, anywhere. They can also re-watch the videos as many times as necessary to meet their individual learning needs.
