Help me give my students take home folders for every student to reinforce responsibility and organization skills.

My Project
We use a take-home folder system for every student, to support the development of responsibility and organizational skills in our 6th grade students. As students continue to further their education by moving up grade levels, they are met with an increased workload and the need to manage multiple subjects, assignments, and deadlines. Take-home folders serve as a consistent, structured tool to help them keep track of important papers, homework, permission slips, and notes between school and home. This simple system would reinforce daily habits of checking, organizing, and prioritizing tasks—skills that are essential for academic success and personal growth.
In addition to improving academic performance, using take-home folders will help students begin developing life skills such as accountability, time management, and independence.
By assigning students the responsibility of maintaining and bringing their folders daily, we can encourage a sense of ownership over their learning and build routines that extend beyond the classroom. Parents will also benefit from having a clear, consistent way to stay informed about their child’s school activities. Furthermore, these folders support our goal of preparing students not only for middle school but for lifelong success through foundational habits and practical tools.
We like these folders since they have a clear sleeve in the front for us to insert a customized coversheet with our school name, mascot, and room for the student's name.
