This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What kind of homework should the kindergarten students get? How about some fun and hands-on homework?

My school is a small Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced/free lunch program.

Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My students come to school eager to learn each day.

My Project

With these new Take-Home Backpacks, my kindergarten students will be able to have hands-on learning experiences on topics such as Five Senses, Environment, Safety, Farm, Sorting, Patterning and Opposites. I have had a lot of parents commenting how great these backpacks are for them to be able to spend the quality time with their kids by doing the activities together. It would be awesome to get additional backpacks for my students to cover these basic topics that I currently do not have.
