My Project

My students come from a depressed area of low socioeconomic backgrounds. All of the students in our district receive free lunches and many qualify for weekend food bags. The items I am requesting for my classroom will create a warm and comfortable environment for my students to learn in and collaborate with each other. All of these items will provide great functionality while also making them feel at home and excited to work in a room that is set up like a living room. My goal is to provide them with an opportunity to learn in a classroom where they can feel safe, comfortable, special, and relaxed. With this type of environment, the students will be able to focus on the tasks they are to be working on and the objectives of each lesson because the classroom is welcoming, functional, and comfortable so now all they have to do is focus on the work! These items will provide a classroom that would be any teacher's dream come true. The students will love coming each day and spending time in this classroom.
