My Students
The children are encouraged to develop a "think outside the box" mindset, which allows creativity to guide their thinking. Students at my school are curious about the world around them. They are interested in seeking out the answers to their questions by participating in unique learning opportunities. The lessons that the children enjoy most include hands-on activities, which provide memorable educational experiences and help to create a love of learning.
Students at my school aspire to be world changers and inspire others to contribute positive qualities that add to our school community.
My Project
Most learning at school takes place within the four walls of the classroom, so why not take it outside for a change? I believe in education that reaches beyond the four walls of the classroom. Every donation will bring students one step closer to learning and working in an outdoor learning lab that can be accessed by every student at my school.
My vision is to provide students with the ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge by using innovative methods and taking education outside.
An outdoor learning lab will provide students with the ability to participate in engaging, hands-on lessons in a non-traditional classroom setting. It will allow the children to make connections between knowledge learned in their classrooms to practical application in the real world.
The bins and benches will provide seating for students as they collaborate on projects and activities, as well as provide storage for educational materials. A canopy will allow students to escape the heat on sunny days, which are plentiful in Florida. Most importantly, the portable table will allow students to participate in demonstrations where they will showcase skills learned in lessons.
