My Project

Please help me create individualized take-home materials for students to work with their families. Many of my students don't have access to quality materials to practice academic skills at home. Yet, they need to practice beyond the hours in school.

I want to level the playing field for my students and create a better support system for families.

This project will change their learning environment at home. These materials will go home on a weekly basis.

I have been using Ziploc Bags and my students are tearing through them, and I'm losing so many materials. With this project, I'm hoping to create a more durable version of what we have been using. Here's a breakdown of how everything will be used. The pouches are to hold everything. I asked for some extras because the zippers always break. The pencil pouches are for the dry-erase markers, erasers, crayons, and pencils. The index cards are to make individualized flashcards. The write and wipe ticket holder pockets will allow us to reuse some pages without having to make extra copies. The sand timers are for students to challenge themselves to be fast and accurate. Number lines are there for support in counting, adding, and subtracting. After all of this hard work, they get to have some cute stickers as incentives to keep going.
