This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students are eager to grow their skills in reading and math, but they don't always have the materials at home to keep learning beyond the school day. To help bridge that gap, I’m creating take-home tote bags filled with engaging, hands-on math and reading activities for students and their families.
These reusable bags will be packed with supplies like books, games, math manipulatives, and notebooks that support the foundational skills we’re building in class.
By bringing these materials home, students will have more opportunities to practice, explore, and build confidence—all with the support of their families.
