Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom closed up on Friday, March 13th. We were given less than 24 hour notice to prepare to send students home with 2 weeks worth of classwork. A couple of weeks later, we were able to send home additional materials and school iPads.
My Kindergarteners have been distance learning rock stars for 6 weeks now.
They are persevering with workbooks, journals, and school supplies that I sent home. They bring never-ending enthusiasm Monday through Thursday via Zoom meetings. Plus, they have access to learning apps and I am now a Seesaw Pioneer!

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to have less than 24 hours to plan, organize, and distribute classroom materials and art supplies to send home with my students.
This teacher is taking Emergency Preparedness to the next level!
This school year, we've had fires that sent us home for a week and now a global pandemic. Being in California, we're always at risk for earthquakes. I will be 100% prepared for next time. These Take Home Backpacks will be pre-packed with all of the basic necessities for Distance Learning! As the kids say, "Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy!"
