This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are incredibly resilient young adults who are new to the United States and learning English. Oftentimes they are working full time and attending school full time. They are dedicated to learning and working and are some of the most interesting and courageous people I have ever met!

They need support and they often visit the library to get it.

They often visit the library to visit or borrow books or technology, but sometimes they need other things like safety pins, chapstick, bandaids or period supplies. This station will allow them to access the materials independently and easily.
