it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember how cool it was to do an art project in elementary school? Next year, I get to teach art to some lucky 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. I want to be able to bring more than just pencils and paper. Help us do super cool art projects that they will remember and talk about for years to come.
My school is an amazing place with a diverse high needs population.
We have amazing heart and three language strands! My students are a great bunch of kids who really want to shine and become the best that they can be. They truly deserve the very best I can offer them. I can't wait to teach them art in addition to computer lab. I want to offer them exposure to art projects and art concepts that most of them have little or no exposure to. The world of art is as amazing and diverse as they are!
My Project
The rolling art cart will give my art supplies mobility and organization. I really need it to make my program effective. I can put supplies and other resources we need in it and organize their projects so they don't get lost. Students will learn about art and how to properly use and maintain art supplies. Treating stuff with care makes it important, and art and creative expression takes time and care. Making your mark and unique creative expression are valuable skills to learn early on.

Sometimes art is the one thing a student can look forward to at school. When I was a kid, it helped to make connections to other things I was learning and provided a hook to make hard work like research okay.
