Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I serve an amazing group of students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The best thing about this group is that they truly do come from so many places and speak so many different languages and dialects. This year, our school has welcomed more newcomer students (new to the country) than ever before. We are so excited to welcome these students and families but need help to ensure their basic needs are met!
The tennis shoes requested in this project will directly impact the welfare of our newcomer students and their families.
Please help me provide these families with the basic necessities to begin to establish their lives here in the United States! Clean and sturdy shoes truly do make a difference on the path to acclimation and help our students worry less about their physical appearance and more on their academic achievements.
