My Students

We love to learn! These students can't wait to see what school and the world have in store for them and are so enthusiastic about learning! They are highly active and very energetic. They love to be hands-on and communicate with one another.

Our classroom is filled with 24 bright, beautiful, and blooming first graders who have a thirst for learning as much as they can each and every day.

Our classroom is located in Western Pennsylvania.

In our room, it feels comfortable, looks bright, and has constant movement, just the way we like it! It is an environment that welcomes all children and they love being here! I love it, too!

My Project

I LOVE the idea of implementing flexible seating in my classroom! I want my students to be able to learn in an environment that is most comfortable for them. I can't wait to be able to use a round table in our classroom, especially one that is low to the ground.

By sitting at a round table, it allows students to communicate better with their peers.

This is extremely important during the younger years because children are learning how to develop communication skills, work with one another, and take turns.

My first graders prefer sitting on the ground over sitting at a desk and table; however, it is not very comfortable. By utilizing the Comfy Floor Seats in our classroom, it will allow students the opportunity to feel cozy while doing their work, reading, and writing. Therefore, maximizing the learning happening in our room.

Research shows that not only is flexible seating fun, but it helps students to stay focused, increases their sense of well-being, and engages students in learning!
