This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Media Center is visited by smiling, eager readers every day! Our students love to tells us about the books they have read and the excitement is obvious in their expressions! We are a Title I school with students who face many difficult challenges in their lives. We would like to create exciting experiences for them to read books, enjoy being read to and connect with nature!
My Project
The wonderful story about gardening will be displayed on the metal sign posts outdoors in our school garden area. As students enjoy reading and learning about gardening, they will be walking through the garden beds ready to be planted or planted and ready to harvest!
This project will allow us to create a story walk that will entice all budding gardeners into participating in gardening, learning the importance of gardening and nutrition as well as encouraging them to read the wonderful story GROW: HOW WE GET FOOD FROM OUR GARDEN!
