My Students

8th grade social studies, American History is a new adventure after 29 years in elementary school.

Teaching social studies in middle school will be an exciting journey through time!

Each hour I will have 28- 32 students with diverse learning styles! My multicultural classes include Hispanic, African American,

Moung, white and Latino teenagers.

Many of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds!

They are lacking many historical experiences that inspire their learning.

Social studies is a hands-on experience for all learners!

My philosophy is to inspire and empower my students through education and passion!

My Project

We need two standing desk to add to our variety of seating options that promote successful learning! Standing desks will empower my students to take charge of their own learning needs!

Take a Stand and Learn will allow my 8th graders to work together collaboratively to learn American History!

Inspiring my students is my end goal!

Diverse Learning options allow students to choose what works best for them! Partnership interactions increase student engagement and productive learning! This is my first year in middle school and gaining student trust by meeting their diverse needs will allow for all students to be successful!

Here’s to taking a stand on our great American History by putting my students learning styles first!
