One of the mainstays of our classroom is flexible seating and movement. Have you tried sitting in a chair for hours at a time!? Students need options to sit and stay engaged in the classroom. Many students have a difficult time staying in one place and keeping a calm body.
Small group work is a large part of our daily routine.
Being able to gather at a table space and work is a big part of our day. Dragging chairs across the room in order to sit at the group spot is not only a hassle, it's extremely disruptive and takes up valuable time. Having some of these flexible seating options that can stay at our table will make for a much smoother transition.
