Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title I public charter school that primarily serves a lower socioeconomic population with a lot of English Language Learners. There are many more difficulties a majority of our students experience on a day-to-day basis than in some other schools.
Our school's mission is to create students who will be college and career ready with cross-cultural competence when they leave here.
For many students, they will be the first generation in their family to go to college.
My Project
We are requesting new chairs, a chair rack to hold them, and two floor runners to put underneath the chairs. These chairs will be used by our student-athletes in our new gym for basketball and volleyball games.
We may be a new school, be we want to look as good as the other schools around.
Having nice equipment for our athletes and coaches will make our program that much more legitimate and reputable. The chairs will look nice and have our school logo, the rack will make set up and clean up easy, and the floor runners will keep the chairs in place and keep everyone safe.
