Do you know an 8-year-old who doesn't like to stand up, wiggle and be active? Me neither! I have a classroom full of 3rd grade students who love to learn.
My students are energetic and love being engaged both mentally and physically in their learning.
For many of my kiddos, this means they need to be able to move in order to focus. Providing nontraditional seating options for these students is one way I can better meet the physical needs of the children in my classroom while also helping ensure their academic success.
My Project
I have an amazing bunch of active and inquisitive third graders! They love having flexible seating options so that they can find a place to work that works for them and meets their needs for movement and comfort in the classroom.
Having choices that allow them move freely can make all the difference for some of my kiddos between having a productive, successful day or struggling to stay focused.
As their teacher, I want to be able to provide my kids with as many options as possible to learn in a comfortable and inviting environment. A Jonti-Craft 5 section bench is one choice that these kids would love to have access to! This bench would give my students the opportunity to work and learn in a comfortable and fun place!
