This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All early childhood teachers know that teaching young kids can be a noisy endeavor. A loud classroom can be a good thing but not when the sound is coming from wobbly and squeaky stools and loud scraping chairs at desks. My co-teacher and I want to make our room a little more sensory friendly by providing tennis balls to make sliding their chairs in and out a soundless experience. We'd also like to replace the metal stools that squeak with every shift while students are receiving small group instruction with new stools.

Turning the volume down on classroom noises will help students turn up their focus.

When students are focused, more learning happens. Please help us create the ideal classroom environment for supporting that focus!
