My Project

My fifth graders are doing a PBL service project on environmental activism. Many have chosen the topic of pollution as their focus. They’ve been learning how their choices today play a huge role in how their environment will be in the future … if there is one.

These books on pollution and sustainability will help my students advocate for their projects and convince others to join their cause.

Some of my students are creating PSAs while others are planning clean-up days or timed clean-up challenges, knowing the positive affect their work will leave is immeasurable.

One group would like to reduce the amount of paper bags being purchased at stores by using reusable grocery bags, and pencils will help all of them take notes while doing research.
