Help me give my students the awesome gift of reading!My students love to read and the Harry Potter Series is perfect for my class of 6th graders who love reading aloud in our classroom!
My students are apart of District 75's Special Education Program within the NYS Department of Education. They are a great group of kids who are eager to learn and participate. They are team players and try to look out for each other. They have an awesome sense of humor and I appreciate that they make me laugh throughout the day. My kids are a great group of curious readers. They enjoy going through the chapters and details as a class and most of all we love books that have been made into movies. We love to read out loud together as a class and we often read and act out plays allowing us to show our creativity using different accents and voices and imagining being in a different setting place and time with each story.
My Project
The Harry Potter Series is an excellent example of reading that will capture my classes attention and motivate them into forward thinking as to what may happen in future. My class enjoys reading aloud and imitating character voices. We love to assign each student a charter and read books as if they were plays. Harry Potter is a series that encourages the imagination to go beyond everyone's expectation. It will also allow students to put themselves in the story and feel what it is like to read together as a team and enjoy socializing and sharing as a collective class.
