My Project
Data suggest that children's learning outcomes suffer when they regularly experience hunger. I work in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. Some days, a student's only meals are the breakfast and lunch that are provided by the school.
Based on my personal experience, when students are hungry, they lose their ability to focus in class and perform well.
I want my students to focus on their work, and not when and where they will be able to eat. I also included water bottles for the students to fill up, so they can have water on hand whenever they get thirsty. There are also stickers and fidgets, so that I can promote positive reinforcement.
The snacks, breakfast bars, and juice will try to help curb their hunger. Being able to have snacks will also help to keep students engaged in class. Your donation will help my students fight hunger in class.
