My Students
Do you remember the first time you were able to read independently and comprehend what you have read.
My students have very few opportunities to be independent readers and understand what they have read.
My school supports students with multiple disabilities. The goal of my school is to assist students with increasing their independence as much as possible.
My Project
My project is to allow my students to have an opportunity to choose a reading activity they can do independently. Using Leap frog Tag readers and the books, it will assist my students with reading independently and comprehending what they have read. Many of my students have short attention spans. Leap Frog Readers and the books will keep my students actively and purposefully engaged, due to the colorful pictures and the sounds this product creates in relation to the story being read.
