Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my classroom demonstrate a wide-range of understanding of foundational reading skills. The basic skills needed to become readers include fluent letter formation, understanding the relationships between letters and sounds, and demonstrating the ability to segment the sounds in words and build those words.
Students performing well below grade-level often require tactile learning experiences to help them acquire the basic skills they need to become readers.
By contributing to this project, you will provide these students with the materials they need to build a foundation for reading, including sensory letter formation cards and magnetic letter tiles.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
