My students come from diverse backgrounds, socioeconomic levels, and cultures. Some have the prior knowledge to do basic math problems in chemistry, and others struggle with dimensional analysis and other quantitative analysis problems. They are hard-working students and are eager to do well in chemistry.
I want to provide all of our chemistry students with the tools that will help them understand how to solve chemistry problems and to be successful.
Giving each student the instruction they need to master the concepts in chemistry will help improve the equity in learning.
My Project
These tablets will be used by all of the chemistry students at our high school who have indicated that they do not have a touchscreen device. We are excited to give these to our students because we have been struggling with not being able to see our students' work in real-time and with figuring out how to help them.
The second semester is full of quantitative topics, and, being able to see our students' work, learn where their errors are, and give individual feedback all in real-time will be a game-changer in our methods of instruction.
