An Amazon Fire tablet will benefit my 6th-grade students in many ways. Having access to the proper devices will help my students during small group instruction to receive differentiated learning activities. Many of our families do not have the means to provide their children with access to technology at home. Access to devices that fully function will allow students to join and participate during class. My students enjoy seeing and learning from one another, and having a working device will allow them to do so. I hope that this new set of technology will inspire all of the students to share their talents, ideas, passions, and experiences, regardless of their background.
I work with a diverse population of students, and they need technology to stay competitive with other students.
The students at my school had to learn remotely for the past school year, and this would provide an opportunity to bridge the learning gap. They have been overcoming many barriers while learning from home. However, since we returned to the classroom, having access to an Amazon Fire Tablet and highlighters will enable them to work alone or with a partner/peer to identify, discuss, and review critical skills.
