Help me give my students access to technology in the classroom, now days students are learning in a virtual and hybrid world, these tablets will allow students who don't have devices in class to partake in online lessons

My Students

My students are eager to learn, creative and respectful. My 8th grade science class has a wide diversity of students from a range of economical backgrounds. All of who get to learn content through hands on experiments and engaging lessons that help teach concepts through real world application. Each day my students arrive ready to get started with the lesson and put their knowledge to the test.

Currently my students are learning in a hybrid approach meaning that they spend one week learning in the classroom with me and the following week at home learning remotely.

Due to this I work to ensure that my lessons keep students engaged with the content when they are both in the classroom and at home.

My Project

My students learn in a hybrid model, meaning they spend one week home doing remote learning and the following week in class using devices and hard copies of materials. Currently students have been issued a chromebook or are using a device of their own. However is always a time when a device dies, needs to be restarted, is just not working and in these situations the students are limited to what they can achieve during in class time. These technology feats also interfere with the instruction of the lesson, by gaining these tablets students will be able to have a back up device on hand in the classroom that I can provide for them.

The tablets will also allow me to incorporate virtual tours, labs and science apps into lessons which are online materials I am currently unable to utilize with the students having laptops or chromebooks.

These tablets will unlock a new set of materials that I can use to instruct and engage my students in the content while also working to support them when a technological issue occurs in the classroom.
