My Students
My class is excited about reading and math and sharing what they know. We have started to have Daily 5 time each day, because they enjoy self selecting tasks.
My class of 28 students are the best and brightest Kindergarteners in my district.
They come to school every day, in uniforms, ready to work and learn. My school is located in an urban setting. The building is newly renovated, and the resources for technology was allocated for completing the building.
My Project
Every day, we have Daily 5 time for 18 minutes, in ELA and Math. This is when I meet with small groups to challenge their learning or reteach sections of lessons so that they can access learning independently. While I am working with the small group, the other students can use a menu to make choice of what reading and math work station they will visit. We visit 5 stations, including with the teacher station.
This donation will help enhance the selection menu with technology.
This is also help my students come into the technological age and enhance their learning. Providing kid-friendly choices will help the Kindergarteners stay on task in the work stations. This will help them reach success in Reading and Math.
