it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students attend a therapeutic day program for students with special needs.
My students come from a low income city located in the state of CT. My students come to school with a smile on their face everyday because for most of them we are the best part of their day. My students deserve access to all the materials needed to help them learn.
My Project
The tablets will help my children learn directly and indirectly. In our society today everything moves pretty quickly so in order to keep my children engaged different learning modalities must be used. Having these tablets will add to the few resources in my classroom that will hold the children's attention. In addition the tablets can also be used as a reward for good behavior.
In our school we do not have the resources to replace the computers that have broken or malfunctioned.
This limits the time in class the teacher and students can utilize technology. Technology in particular makes learning exciting and engaging for all levels and abilities. I have seen in the past the positive impact technology can have on students and the impact it can have on their learning. Fortunately the district has created access to many exciting interactive websites for all subjects. With the funding of these tablets we will be able to utilize class time more efficiently to take advantage of these exciting websites.
This project is important because I feel my students deserve the right to as many resources as possible.
