My Project
Hello, the goal for this project is to have tablets because they are more mobile and easier to handle on the go. We need to be able to move around the classroom and different places in the building to work the robots and robotic projects.We also need to be able to talk to other students who don't know English and we don't know their native language. While chromebooks are nice to have, the chromebooks in our school are used primarily for classroom assignments that usually take the entire class period It's easier to borrow a tablet and have a conversation with another student without disrupting the classroom learning to use a chromebook that another student is using for classwork. We are not a 1:1 school like we were during COVID, with the lack of funding to keep up with the computers, it's just hard to run a STEM Club and help our ELL students without the proper technology to help. These will help, especially since each teacher can receive 2 tablets to have in their classrooms for that assistance during the school day and I have them for STEM Club in the afternoon.
The monitor stands are helpful for our gaming unit when we have multiple screens that need to stay in one place and this will be easier to manage the computer screens so that no one walks away with them and so that they don't get knocked over by accident, the tables aren't always sturdy and this will help not allow the screens to slide off the table.
