Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students at our school are the most willing learners. We use Istation to increase students' reading abilities. However we don't have enough technology to access Istation regularly. Tablets in the classroom will make Istation more accessible and assist students increase their reading levels.

Our students are in a low income, poverty stricken area.

Although their circumstances are not the best, they still manage to be the best. Because of them our school is now a nationally recognized Gold Ribbon, Grade A school. Although we don't have many resources, our boys and girls always seem to rise to the occasion.

My Project

These two iPad minis are going to help the students get their station time in every single day. This is going to be used in our daily five reading centers. The main and most important thing we are going to do with these materials is to increase students' reading abilities.

I know I keep repeating this, but it really is true.

Having these tablets will not only keep the students engaged, but it is definitely going to keep the students' reading abilities growing. Some of our students have below grade level reading abilities. Having these tablets to do their Istation time every day will help them to grow leaps and bounds.
