This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my classroom are energetic and full of life.

They value their education and look forward to learning. Each day students are actively involved in center work and hands on activities where they are moving around the classroom. With such energy and passion for learning the class requires more materials for center work and engaging educational learning opportunities.

My Project

The tablets and tablet cases will be used to provide students with engaging educational center work for math, language arts, science and social studies. Students will be able to play educational games, read books, take assessments, complete research and much more with the use of these tablets. The use of paper and printing ink is expensive for the school and can be wasteful for the environment. With the tablets students will be able to use many Internet resources that cut the need for ink and paper. Students show much more interest and engagement when able to use technology in the classroom.

With the increasing rate of technology within our communities it is important that students are exposed to these materials in the classroom.

When my students are provided with opportunities to use technology they are excited and quickly engaged. There are many Internet educational resources and educational apps that would be extremely beneficial to differentiation of student work, the classroom library, assessment, research, and center work if students are given regular use of tablets.
