This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

CHS has an incredibly diverse population of students from over 50 countries with over 14 different languages spoken at home. We pride ourselves on being an all-inclusive environment, stigma free. We are part of the NJ PBSIS (Positive Behavior Support In Schools) system where our students are encouraged and even rewarded for behaving in a positive manner. Our goal at CHS is for all students to graduate in 4 years and become positive global citizens.

This project is for our PBSIS program that supports positive mental health by encouraging students to speak with their teachers if they are struggling.

We create an environment where all students are recognized for their good work with the 4:1 system of 4 positive comments for 1 corrective comment.

We are requesting Amazon Fire Tablets with wifi connection for students to use at home. For many of our students, the only technology they have is the school provided Chromebook and with these tablets they can draw and do other activities that they need a touch screen for. Having high value rewards gives the students incentives to earn the Mustang Golden Tickets and we are incredibly grateful for your support of this program. I know there are thousands of projects that you can choose from; thank you for taking the time to read ours and thank you so much for supporting our amazing students.
