My students are in a Title 1 school and need the right tools in order to compete with kids from higher income neighborhoods. Over 50% of my students are ESOL (English as a Second Language), making it more difficult to not only learn what is required of them but also a new language. Often, having money means having more opportunities to learn. My goal is to close that gap for my students with fun and innovating ways of learning that will make education meaningful and memorable. I hope that, given the chance to see what they can do without limits, my students will remember the lessons learned in my class in order to become successful adults.
My Project
My students will be using the tablet and headphones to enhance their learning in Math and Science. The iPad will allow them to independently access math and science materials at their level to enrich their learning. My students will also be able to use the tablets to remediate material that they might need more assistance with. My students will greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue to stretch their learning.
These materials will make a huge difference in their daily learning stations by allowing math and science to be an emphasis in their center.
Being able to use their headphones along with the tablet will enable to fully grasp concepts to enrich their learning. Thank you for your help.
